Community Shield: Piers Morgan singles out one Arsenal player after win over Man City

British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has singled out Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice for praise following the Gunners’ FA Community Shield victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

Rice featured as Arsenal defeated Manchester City on penalties on Sunday to win the 2023 Community Shield.

The Community Shield tie had ended in a 1-1 draw at Wembley Stadium.

Cole Palmer and Leandro Trossard did score for their respective clubs during normal time.

However, in a tweet via his Twitter handle after the game, Morgan expressed love for Rice, who joined Arsenal from West Ham United this summer.

“Love it. Love him. What a signing, only been here 3 weeks and he’s already beating City and eating medals. @_DeclanRice,” he tweeted alongside a picture of Rice holding the Community Shield medal.
