EPL: Bassey will get better with more games — Fulham boss, Silva

Fulham manager, Marco Silva has backed new signing Calvin Bassey to get better with more games at the club.

Bassey joined the Cottagers from Eredivisie outfit, Ajax last month.

The Nigeria international made a good impression in Saturday’s 2-1 friendly win against Bundesliga club, TSG Hoffenheim.

The 23-year-old scored Fulham’s winning goal and was named Man of the Match.

Silva reckoned Bassey still needs time to adjust to his new environment.

“It will be different for Calvin as it will be his first time in the Premier League. Even though he’s a London boy, it’s a new league and he will soon understand better how we defend,” Silva told the club’s official website.

” We knew what type of player we were signing and the skills he has.”

The versatile player will hope to make his competitive debut for Fulham against Everton next weekend.
