EPL: Arsenal star to join EPL rivals with David Raya deal close

Arsenal goalkeeper, Matt Turner, is close to joining Nottingham Forest in a £7 million deal, according to Mail Sport.

The deal will provide funds for the Gunners as they seek an agreement with Brentford for David Raya.

Arsenal has already sent in a £23m bid for Raya last week with the Spain international valued at £40m.

However, there is hope that the Bees will agree a fee closer to £30m.

Turner failed to make a Premier League appearance at the Emirates last season, with Aaron Ramsdale the No 1 stopper under Mikel Arteta.

The 29-year-old played seven times in cup competitions. A move to Forest would enable him to play more with a home World Cup on the horizon in 2026.
