2023 WWC: England midfielder, Salem anticipates difficult test against Super Falcons

England midfielder, Katie Salem is expecting a difficult duel against the Super Falcons in their Round of 16 duel at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Sarina Wiegman’s side underlined their title credentials by claiming a comprehensive 6-1 win against China on Wednesday.

The result extended the European champions’ unbeaten run in the competition following narrow victories against Haiti and Denmark.

The Super Falcons too are unbeaten in Australia and New Zealand with one win and two draws.

Salem recognised Randy Waldrum’s side threat and predicted they will be a tough nut to crack.

“A really tough team, ” the Manchester United captain told BBC Radio Five 5 Live.

“Every team that gets into the knockout stages deserves to be there so we know it will be a difficult test and we’re ready for it.”
