You need to make everyone really sharp – Lisandro Martinez on Onana’s rant at Maguire

Manchester United centre-back, Lisandro Martinez, has given his opinion on goalkeeper Andre Onana’s rant at Harry Maguire.

Onana recently launched a furious rant at Maguire during Man United’s defeat to Borussia Dortmund last weekend.

The Cameroonian berated Maguire for a sloppy pass to Christian Eriksen which led to a Dortmund chance and Onana subsequently forced into making a save.

The former Inter Milan keeper eventually dismissed any issues between him and the Man United’s former captain in the aftermath and fellow teammate, Martinez feels it is part of football, adding that everyone needs to be really sharp.

“It is better for [it]. If you are focused, you can fight with your team-mates as well, you need to make sure everyone is really sharp, but nothing happened. It is part of football,” Martinez was quoted by ESPN as saying when asked about the incident.

He added, “He [Andre Onana] has a big personality. He can play football, he can deal with the pressure, he is really positive, he is a leader, that is the style of Manchester United.”
