Transfer: Turkish club, Fenerbahce leads race to sign Ndidi

Turkish Super Lig giants, Fenerbahce are favourites to sign Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City.

According to the Turkish news outlet, Fotospor, Fenerbahce jumped ahead of the queue after the Scottish Premier League club, Celtic withdraw from the race.

Ndidi is expected to leave Leicester City this summer following Fox’s relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Nigeria international has one-year remaining on his contract and Leicester City will be expected to cash in now instead of losing him for free next summer.

The midfielder struggled with injury last season but still made 30 appearances across all competitions for the former Premier League champions.

Ndidi has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Lig last season.
