Transfer: Bayern Munich to make £70m offer for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich is set to make an improved £70 million offer to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Bundesliga champions are trying to complete the transfer for Kane quickly this summer.

However, it is believed the new bid will not meet Spurs’ demands, leaving the England striker in limbo.

Kane is scheduled to return to training before Tottenham fly out for their pre-season tour to Australia, Thailand and Singapore on Friday.

Bayern have yet to bid more than £56m, which won’t be enough to convince Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy to sell, even though Kane has just one year left on his contract.

A second bid might go up to £68m but that appears to be the upper end of Bayern’s projections for a player who will be free next summer – though they would face a much more competitive challenge to sign him then.
