Firm offers food discount to customers

A retailer, FoodCo Nigeria, has said the launch of its food subsidy promo which began on Friday, June 30, will support its customers due to the current inflation across the country.

The Chief Executive Officer, FoodCo, Ade Sun-Bashorun, in a statement on Friday, said the promo, which is open to shoppers across FoodCo’s 19 outlets, would involve a discount offer on groceries, toiletries, electronics and other household items.

He said, “We are pleased to announce the commencement of the FoodCo Food subsidy offer. This initiative was borne out of our desire to support our customers, as they contend with the rising inflation

hat has seen prices of groceries and other items rise over the past couple of weeks.

“Our customer base which stretches back to four generations of families has been an integral part of our success story these past 41 years so this is just a token of appreciation for their support.

“We understand that for some people, modern retail has become a critical aspect of their lives because of the quality assurance and overall shopping experience that it offers. We trust that they will be able to take advantage of the promo to meet their shopping needs without straining their budgets.”
