NNPP presidential campaign expenses report ready soon – Spokesman

The New Nigeria People’s Party has said it will release details of monies generated and those spent during the last presidential campaign. It said it would be in compliance with the law.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Agbor Major, said these in an interview with our correspondent in Abuja on Friday.

He stated, “We are working on it and it will be released very soon.”

The African Action Congress released its presidential campaign revenue and expenditure on June 20.

The AAC said its presidential candidate generated over N40m for the campaign while N38m was received as donations, and that the candidate provided N1.8m from his personal funds.

It however, challenged other political parties and presidential candidates to follow suit in disclosing publicly the breakdown of their election campaign revenue and expenditure.
