Euro 2024 qualifiers: Steven Gerrard names England’s most dangerous player in 7-0 win

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard picked Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as England’s ‘most dangerous player’.

Gerrard believes Rashford was the most dangerous player in the first half of the Three Lions’ 7-0 victory over North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday night.

The 25-year-old became the first Manchester United player to score for England at Old Trafford since David Beckham against Sweden in November 2001.

Manchester United’s season-highest goalscorer impressed in the opening 45 minutes, scoring the third goal for England before the break.

Gerrard hailed the United forward at full-time and told Channel 4: “I thought he was our most dangerous player in the earlier stages.

“The threat was there. There is a hunger and relentlessness about this England team now.

“Nice little tap in from Marcus, who was our biggest threat up to that point.”
