EPL: We are in no race – Guardiola speaks on Man City signing Mbappe

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed they are not in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe’s future with the Ligue 1 champions is uncertain after he publicly confirmed he will not be signing a contract extension.

This means that the 24-year-old will be a free agent in the summer of 2024 if PSG does not part ways with him this year.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with Real Madrid, a team that many insist is his dream club.

And although City have been mentioned as a possible destination, Guardiola has said they are not interested.

“We will not sign Kylian Mbappé, he’s not joining Man City. All of you know where he wants to go,” he said.
