Imo lawmaker hails Uzodimma

The member-elect representing the Nkwerre constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Chisom Ojukwu, on Wednesday, recommended that President Bola Tinubu should rely on Governor Hope Uzodimma for guidance on issues about the South-East sub-region.

In a statement on Thursday, the lawmaker lauded Uzodimma for “championing issues that will develop the South-Eastern region.”

Ojukwu also commended the governor for his role in ensuring that the South-East is rightly positioned in national politics.

He said, “Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has for years been playing a frontline role in ensuring that the South-East takes its rightful place in Nigerian politics, and he has strategically pooled resources together to think out of the box on possible ways of solving age-long problems bedevilling the southeastern states.

“His relentless pursuit for South-East development led to the speedy completion of the Second Niger Bridge. Insecurity has significantly reduced in the region owing to his innovative approach to the problem.”

According to the statement, the lawmaker also commended Uzodimma for convincing members of the National Assembly from the South-East region to endorse Godswill Akpabio and Tajudeen Abass as the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.
