Kliff Kingsbury was a quarterback for the school squad throughout his high school years. He then proceeded to play football in college. From 1998 to 1999, he played under coach Spike Dykes at the collegiate level. He also played for Mike Leach from 2000 to 2002. He set 39 school records as well as 13 Big 12 Conference records. He also established seven NCAA FBS records. Following his outstanding performance, the coaches named Kliff to the All-District first team and the All-Big 12 Conference second team.
