NRC resumes two trips on Abuja-Kaduna train Sunday

The board and management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation have announced the recommencement of two additional trips on the Abuja-Kaduna train service.

Following the terrorist attack on the train that occurred on March 28, 2022, train trips were temporarily suspended on the Abuja-Kaduna corridor.

However, the corporation resumed services on the corridor in December 2022 with only two trips available.

But a statement on Saturday by the management of the NRC the train service will resume on Sunday (today).

The NRC apologised to passengers for any inconvenience they might have experienced as a result of the temporary reduction in train service.

It also assured its passengers of their safety with the implementation of certain measures such as social distancing and regular sanitation.

The statement read, “The board and management of Nigerian Railway Corporation are pleased to announce the recommencement of two additional train trips on Abuja-Kaduna Train Service which were suspended.

“The additional train service will resume on Sunday, June 4, 2023, with the following train trips: AK1 departs IDU at 0945hrs; KA2 departs RIGASA at 1330hrs; AK3 departs IDU at 1500hrs.”
