EPL: Aguero names two team to challenge Man City for title next season

Former Manchester City ace Sergio Aguero has picked Arsenal and Manchester United as the two sides to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.

Manchester City won the Premier League this season despite trailing Arsenal for the majority of the season.

It was their third consecutive title in three years and fifth in six years as Pep Guardiola’s now turn their attentions to a historic treble bid.

However, Aguero, a Manchester City legend, expects Mikel Arteta’s side to challenge once again next season and added that ‘we must not forget’ about Manchester United,

“City will continue to be a candidate next season,” Aguero wrote in a column for Stake.

“It has been shown that it is the best team in the Premier League, with a very clear style of play, which has won three consecutive titles, something difficult to achieve.

“Why not think then that you can get another? Surely, as he does every season, Pep will continue to make the adjustments he deems necessary to remain competitive.”
