EPL: I’m going back to Chelsea – Casadei opens up as Pochettino takes over

Chelsea midfielder, Cesare Casadei, has said he is going back to the club to take his chances as manager Mauricio Pochettino officially takes over Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Cesadei joined Chelsea from Inter Milan last summer for €15 million.

The 20-year-old was signed in the midst of the Blues’ busy summer transfer window that saw eight further players arrive at the West London club.

Hence, his arrival went somewhat under the radar and he lacked game time and was sent out on loan to EFL Championship side Reading in January, where he featured 19 times across competitions for the Royals, scoring two goals.

“No, no. I would do everything I did again. I am really happy in England. Playing as a starter in the Championship has allowed me to experience the football of the greats,” Casadei told Corriere dello Sport.

“Now I’m going back to Chelsea to play my chances.”
