It was Awoniyi’s 11th league goal of the season for the Tricky Trees.

The Nigeria international is now the first Nottingham Forest player to score 10 plus Premier League goals in a single season since 1994/95.

The 25-year-old opened scoring for Nottingham Forest in the 31st minute after he was set up by Morgan Gibb-White.

William Hughes equalised for Crystal Palace in the 66th minute.

Awoniyi’s international teammate Emmanuel Dennis missed the game as a result of injury.
