EPL: Ian Wright tells Arteta to give Arsenal midfielder more game-time

Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has urged manager Mikel Arteta to give midfielder Jorginho more game-time.

Wright said Jorginho is an artist, adding that he wants to see the former Chelsea star play regularly for Arteta’s side.

“We have recruited well, and the guys that have come in have played well and scored goals,” Wright said on his The Ringer podcast.

“Martin Odegaard has fourteen Premier League goals from midfield, that is the standard he’s set and he’s got to get love for that.

“But can I also say something about Jorginho? I really would like to see Jorginho play in the team regularly now.

“I am sorry, but the way he controls the game for us, him and Zinchenko in there as well, but then once it gets to Odegaard, the man is like an artist, [it is] beautiful.”
