Ubong talks up togetherness in Akwa United’s squad

Akwa United captain, Ubong Friday, has disclosed there is unity among the players as they push to secure a Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six spot.

The Promise Keepers suffered a setback in their quest to make the Super Six after going down to a 1-0 defeat to Remo Stars last weekend.

Friday is, however, optimistic that with togetherness and understanding, the team can return to winning ways.

“We are united for a purpose no doubt about that,” he told DAILY POST

“We are working really hard to achieve our goal of the season which is the NPFL Super 6 qualification.

“We are almost there but with togetherness and understanding among us(players) we can return back to winning after our defeat against Remo Stars.

Akwa United will entertain El-Kanemi Warriors on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
