La Vecchia Signora have endured a tumultuous 2022/23 campaign both on and on the pitch. Off-the-field issues stemming from alleged manipulation of player values and mis-reporting of capital gains have led to a 15 point deduction - which has temporarily been revoked - and a potential ban from European competitions.

On the pitch, things haven't been that much better. The club are currently sitting in third place in Serie A, but are now enduring a run of four games without a win - a streak which includes losing to Napoli at the Allianz Stadium and being knocked out of the Coppa Italia by arch rivals Inter.

This poor form, coupled with a less-than-enthusing style of play which has seen Juve score a measly 48 league goals this season - 20 less than league leaders SSC Napoli - has led to many Bianconeri fans calling for Allegri to be relieved of his position as club manager.

90min understands that those Juventus' fans' wishes may be granted this summer as sources have confirmed the club are ready to move Allegri into a new role in Turin.

The role in question would see Allegri become Juve's new director of football, becoming a key part of the club's new leadership group led by Gianluca Ferrero following Andrea Agnelli's departure.

Sources state that Allegri would be pleased with such a move, understanding that he will be getting another huge job and will be staying at the club to help with a much-needed squad rebuild.

Frustrations with Allegri have also been shared in the dressing room. 90min understands that Dusan Vlahovic is among the players currently unhappy with life under Allegri, and would be willing to leave the club in summer if the Italian stays on as manager. Manchester United are one of a number of clubs who have been linked with the Serbian striker in recent months.

Reports from Italy have also named Federico Chiesa and Angel Di Maria as disgruntled stars, with the latter even accused of refusing to join up with the squad for Sunday's uncomfortable 1-1 draw with Bologna.

Allegri has since responded to the rumours around Di Maria, insisting the Argentine was left out through injury instead.

"He had an ankle causing him pain," the manager said. “When someone is 50-50, I leave him at home. I need healthy players on the bench. Di Maria is an important player for us.”
