The Nigeria Premier Football League champions will host the Citizen in the first leg of the CAF Confederation quarter-final tie at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday (today).

It is the first time Stanley Eguma’s side will be playing in the last eight of Africa’s second-tier club competition.

Duru said the players understand the enormity of the task before them and will fight hard to scale through the hurdle.

“The motivation is there, we’re motivating ourselves because we know we have a huge task ahead of us,” the left-back told a press conference.

“And we know we are not just representing Rivers State, we’re representing Nigeria as a country, so we have to come out, do our best, and make sure we get the maximum victory,” he added.

The game will kick-off at 2pm Nigerian time.

The winner over two legs will take on either Pyramids of Egypt or South Africa’s Gallants FC in the semi-finals.
