EPL: It’s a serious blow, will haunt them – Wayne Rooney laments Arsenal’s wobbles

Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has lamented the manner Arsenal lost their grip on the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners. who have not won the Premier League since Arsene Winger guided them to the title in 2004, have topped the table for much of the campaign.

The north London side now runs the risk of imploding during the run-in with three consecutives draws in their last three games against Liverpool and West Ham before dropping more points in a dramatic 3-3 draw with bottom-placed Southampton.

Rooney told The Times that Arsenal “drawing their past three games is a serious blow.

“If they’re not champions, they’ll feel like they’ve thrown the title away.

“Failing to beat West Ham and Southampton could haunt them.”
