NIPCO receives awards

Nipco Gas Ltd has received two awards for pioneering efforts in natural gas utilisation across the country. It received the awards at the Nigerian Gas Association’s gala dinner and award night during the just concluded Nigeria International Energy Summit in Abuja.

The firm, in a statement issued in Abuja, on Saturday, said it had inaugurated 12 outlets and was operating over 100km of pipeline network, providing piped natural gas to industries.

It named its new awards the Nigeria Domestic Gas Ambassadors Award and Gas Sector Innovation Pioneer Award, which were in recognition of the company’s contributions to the country’s gas sector.

The President, Nigeria Gas Association, ED Ubong, who presented the awards, said they were to recognise the company’s role in deepening gas utilisation and pioneering innovative technology towards the growth and development of the industry.

The Managing Director, Nipco Gas, Nagendra Verma, while receiving the awards on behalf of the company, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stressing that it was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Nipco Gas team.
