Popular Oshodi Politician, NURTW Boss, Rasaq Bello Shot Dead Amidst Fracas

According to eyewitness reports, the chaos in Shogunle, Oshodi on Monday, May 29, 2017 which began mid-day has led to the death of popular politician and NURTW boss, Rasaq Bello otherwise called ‘Hamburger’.

The fracas started during an APC primary which took place at Shogunle town hall in Oshodi.

Reports state that late Rasaq Bello was allegedly shot dead by members of a rival gang allegedly led by Samson Agbetoye, popularly called Golden.

Following his death, violence erupted in Oshodi area as thugs stormed the Samson’s house to avenge the death of the NURTW boss.

However, he had fled the spot and they killed his mother in his place, destroyed properties, burnt cars.

Heavy security has been despatched to Oshodi and popular markets including Ladipo market has been shut down.

Hamburger was the Lagos State Treasurer of Tricycle Operators, a branch of NURTW. He was recently made a chief when he was installed as the Akinrogun of Shogunle.
