Fast-rising Fuji musician, Olumide Awise alias Baba Ogbon (Wise man) has passed on after a brief illness.

The Agege-based fuji artist reportedly died in his home in Agbado, Lagos in the early hours of Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

Awise rose to fame through his Agege Allstar album ‘New Generation’ which had guest appearances by other Fuji acts including Nurudeen Ajani, Segun Opontisun, late Sunny T Adesokan and Oyama Azeez. His Fuji Lori Reggae album was which featured renowned Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma was also a crowd pleaser.

He has since been la!d to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
