Mac Allister's stock was rising even before he played a crucial role in Argentina's run to World Cup glory in Qatar, after which a number of Premier League giants voiced an interest in signing the 24-year-old.

Indeed, 90min understands that Manchester City, Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea are all keeping a close eye on Mac Allister, who signed a new three-year contract back in October, while Juventus are among the sides from mainland Europe who are keen on the Brighton man.

Mac Allister's father Carlos, who is heavily involved in managing his son's career, has now confessed he expects the midfielder to find himself a new club ahead of the coming season.

"Normally, the next transfer window will find him playing for another club," Carlos told Puro Boca.

"We don't know which one, the talks are just beginning in general, but it is most likely that Alexis will be playing for another team in July."

90min understands that Brighton have expressed their frustration towards Mac Allister's camp for their public stance on the midfielder's future and have warned the Argentine that there will not be a fire sale at the AMEX Stadium this summer.

The Seagulls have plenty of players who are attracting interest from elsewhere, including midfield partner Moises Caicedo and winger Kaoru Mitoma.

Sources state that Brighton are only likely to authorise the departure of one of their big names and the belief is that Mac Allister is towards the front of the queue for a summer exit.
