NDA seeks NYSC partnership on staff training
The Nigerian Defence Academy has submitted a proposal to the National Youth Service Corps, to train staff of the scheme on emotional intelligence.
Head of the Centre for Study of Leadership and Complex Military Operations of the NDA, Dr Ben Audu, during the presentation of the motion at the National Directorate Headquarters of the NYSC in Maitama, Abuja, said the training became necessary in view of evolving challenges of managing human resources in the workplace.
He urged the scheme to embrace the training, adding that its outcome would manifest in improved workplace productivity.
In his response, the Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, welcomed the proposal.
He stated that the training was a sure way to enhance the capacity of staff to carry out their duties efficiently.
He, therefore, directed the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics of the scheme, and the team from the NDA, to work out the modalities for the commencement of the training.
