Bayelsa United media officer, David Ekpela, and club chairman, Ebiki Timitimi allegedly sustained bruises on their faces after they were beaten by the unruly fans of the host team.

DAILY POST also learnt Bayelsa United cameraman was held hostage by the fans.

Players and officials of the Prosperity Boys were held hostage on the pitch after the game.

Trouble started in the game on the 62nd minute when the assistant referee raised his flag for offside against WIkki Tourists.

Wikki Tourist fans allegedly encroached on the pitch threatening the match officials.

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) is expected to sanction Wikki Tourists if all the allegations were found to be true.

The IMC deducted Remo Stars’ three points and three goals last week for assaulting a match official.

The Sky Blue were also fined N1.25m by the league body.
