Jurgen Klopp has revealed his disappointment at Ibrahima Konate's miss in the final seconds of Liverpool's draw with Arsenal.

The Reds were thoroughly outplayed in the opening 30 minutes of the game on Sunday, conceding two goals and a boatload of chances. However, after a confrontation between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Granit Xhaka sparked the Anfield crowd into life, Liverpool began to find a route back into the game.

First Mohamed Salah would make it 2-1, before Roberto Firmino would bag an 87th minute equaliser.

It could've gotten even better for Liverpool too as the Reds spurned a number of glorious chances to win the game outright. Salah missed a penalty, Darwin Nunez missed a one-v-one and Aaron Ramsdale denied Salah and Konate with stunning saves in the added time at the end of the game.

The aforementioned save to deny Konate has caused Klopp particular ire post-match, with the manager (speaking to Sky Sports) struggling to contemplate how the centre-back didn't score from just three-yards out:

"If Ibou [Konate] uses his head [for a late chance] it’s a goal. Maybe he slipped. He had a chance, it was just there.”

Klopp also gave an assessment of the game itself, stating that it was performance that is 'typical' of the season Liverpool have had thus far:

"A bit typical for us this season. An open game, completely open, they score with the first situation and the second one. Our reaction was good. It was a spectacular game in the end. How we didn’t win it with those late chances I don’t know.

“I’m caught in between [being happy and not]. I have no problems with drawing. Arsenal were good but they could and should have lost this game. The point for them is better.

“We had moments and chances where we didn’t finish the situations off. Slightly typical. They’re flying so they score with their first chance. The goal we scored helped massively. At half-time it wasn’t over. It was a sensational atmosphere. Good moment to get the equaliser.

“All of a sudden we were in charge of a wild game. We deserved at least a point.
