Census: NPC holds building numbering, household listing in Kwara April 17

The National Population Commission will begin building numbering and household listing by April 17, before the actual census exercise.

The State Director of NPC, Alhaji Sa’eed Yusuf, made this known in Ilorin, on Wednesday.

Yusuf said that the building numbering and household listing were part of the census and would be for five days, after which there would be another training before the census.

“There will be five days training for enumerators and supervisors between April 25 and 30, in their respective Local Government Areas for the success of the exercise,” Yusuf said.

On the training of enumerators that was supposed to be held on March 31, the director said that it could not take place due to a lack of logistics.

He, however, said that the training had been fixed for April 11 and would last for seven days.

The director revealed that the actual people enumeration and housing census would start on May 2 and end on May 7, while May 1, would be census eve.

The training of Data Quality Managers was held on April 3 and 4, for those that would manage data, servers and Personal Digital Assistants..

Also, the Special Work Force training, for those that would assist the data managers began on April 5 and would end on April 7.
