LCCI BoT chair clocks 84

The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chief Agboola Odeyemi, will on Tuesday clock 84.

A statement on Saturday said Odeyemi, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, played a pivotal role in the formative years of Nigerian Accounting Standards Board (now Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria), where he also served as chairman.

The statement partly read, “Chief Agboola Odeyemi, elder statesman, businessman, community leader, philanthropist and current Chairman, Board of Trustees of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be 84 of Tuesday. The Obasewa of Ife was born in Ile-Ife on April 4, 1939.”
