The two Premier League giants are reportedly interested in the powerful forward.

Manchester United sounded out Osimhen while the Nigeria international was at Ligue 1 club, Lille, but he ended up at Napoli.

The Red Devils also have Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane on their radar.

Chelsea are however hopeful Osimhen’s love for their former striker, Didier Drogba, will give them the edge in landing the player.

Osimhen grew up idolising Drogba and was pictured in the club’s shirt while growing up in Lagos.

The Blues have struggled in front of goal this season and believe the 24-year-old is the man to help solve their attacking problem.

The striker has scored 25 goals and registered four assists in 29 games across all competitions for Napoli this season.

The biggest challenge for Chelsea is dealing with Napoli, who are notoriously difficult negotiators and are thought to be asking for a fee in the region of €100million (£88m) to €150m (£132m) for their talismanic star.
