Ederson reveals Real Madrid players' endorsement of Carlo Ancelotti as next Brazil manager
Brazil goalkeeper Ederson believes that there is a 'big possibility' that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will be the next head coach of the Selecao.
The five-time world champions are on the search for a new manager following Tite's exit at the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ramon Menezes has been placed in interim charge ahead of Brazil's sole March international friendly against Morocco.
There has been much speculation that Brazil could look to appoint a foreign manager for the first time, with big names such as Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho linked with the gig.
Speaking at a press conference this week, Ederson revealed that he has had conversations with his Brazil teammates who have worked under the Italian.
"I was discussing this with Casemiro, Vinicius Junior, [Eder] Militao. There is a big possibility that he comes," Ederson said.
"[Ancelotti is] an exceptional coach, everyone in his group likes him, a victorious career.
"Just look at his CV. We will know shortly whether he will be here or not. I hope we can have a new coach quickly. I feel the anticipation too because there's too much speculation. Is it a Brazilian or a foreign coach? We are also living that phase of anxiety."
