The Lagos State Police Command has said a 53-year-old woman, who was found with laminated electoral materials, is in detention.
The police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to City Round on Friday.
Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested on Thursday around 4pm on Candos Road, Baruwa, in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos State.
He said the suspect was arrested in a business centre where she was making photocopies.
“She was arrested with 550 different INEC materials. The laptop she used in printing the materials has been recovered and she couldn’t give a good account of how she came in possession of the materials. The case has been transferred to the State CID, Yaba, for further investigation,” he added.
