Police Arrest 53-year-old Woman With Election Materials in Lagos (Video)

A 53-year-old woman has been arrested with election materials.

The woman  whose name was not given was arrested at a business Centre in Baruwa, Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos where she was making photocopies and laminating electoral materials suspected to belong to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The woman, who name was not mentioned was arrested on Thursday at about 4.00 p.m. at Candos Road of Baruwa area, Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for Lagos Police Command said in a statement.

He added that the woman who was arrested inside a business centre where she was making the photocopies with 550 different INEC materials.

The police spokesperson said the suspect cannot explain how she came about the electoral materials or state the purpose for which she was producing them.

“The laptop she used in printing the materials has been recovered and she couldn’t give a good account of how she came in possession of the materials.

“The case has been transferred to State CID Yaba for further investigation,” he said.
