Gunmen open fire on vehicle of Atiku’s Campaign DG in Rivers state

Abiye Sekibo, Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, escaped death by the whiskers on Thursday, February 9, after gunmen opened fire on his vehicle.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, February 10, Sekibo said the gunmen dressed in police uniform opened fire on his bullet proof SUV at Rainbow town in Port Harcourt, the state capital, when he went to inspect the venue of the PDP presidential rally.

Sekibo said this occurred after the venue of the rally was set on fire.
