Martin Zubimendi began his football career at the youth level with Real Sociedad. He joined the C-team on August 27, 2016 before being promoted to the B-team on July 25, 2018.

He made his first team debut for Real Sociedad in a 2-1 victory over Getafe in La Liga, where he came on as a substitute for Ruben Pardo.
