Nigeria Decides: Oshiomhole Secures Further Wards In Owan East For Tinubu/Shettima
All politics, they say, is local, and this is exactly what Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State and APC Edo North Senatorial candidate, is doing right now.
The APC presidential campaign council's Deputy Director General appears to have taken a brief break from national campaigns to withdraw into the trenches to begin his ward-by-ward campaign for Tinubu/Shettima in Edo North.
On day two of his tour, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole visited the wards 3, 4, and 5 of Ihievbe in the Owan East local government area of Edo State. The visits were exhilarating and the crowds that quickly gathered to hear him speak were more than just soul-satisfying.
With about 64 wards to cover, Oshiomhole is a good student of local politics and, despite all the odds, he has chosen to engage the populace in ward-to-ward contact. The populace views this as an opportunity to show their appreciation for the man who gave them the face of good governance.
They swept the dusty roads with their brooms that they brought out of their homes gleaming in all smiles, their excitement was indescribable. They came out with their kids and babies making sure the comrade identified with each and every one of them.
It was more than contagious and evoked strong emotions when watched; the crowd was organic, and the love was invigorating; it was simply a moment to reflect on the contributions you have made as an individual to humanity.
People in each of the wards Oshiomhole visited were assured that Tinubu will restore their faith in a greater Nigeria and that every state would be moving toward sustainable development, much like Lagos State, which is today the pride of Africa.
The message is crystal clear: this is a formidable ideal team for forging ahead with sustainable growth and development for the Nation.
Mind you, Oshiomhole is touring with confirmed street generals who are veterans of both the grassroots network and national politics, and with each of these visits, scores of opposition party members are harvested.
