Members Of APC Campaign Council Defect To PDP In Adamawa

Some members of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council Tuesday dumped the party for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State.

They made their decision known when they paid a courtesy call on Governor Umaru Fintiri in the Government House Yola where they vowed to mobilize votes for the PDP in the next coming elections.

Leader of the delegation, Bitrus Tanies said their decision was not under any dures but born out of their desire for the overall development of the state having seen the giant strides of the present administration.

On her part, Blessing Yola said they will embark on massive Mobilization of youths and women across the nooks and crannies of the state as according her the Governor has done much for Adamawa.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Abdurrahman Bobboi who ushered in the visitors thanked them for joining the team to help Governor Fintiri move Adamawa State forward.

Responding, Governor Umaru Fintiri thanked the youths for joining his winning team, describing them as men and women of integrity that understand the good things for the state.

He said Adamawa project is not about PDP or APC but executing projects that have direct bearing to the masses, assuring Government’s commitment to keep pace in that regard.

“Let’s come together, it’s not about PDP or APC but for Adamawa. Let’s develop our state. I think that is the most important thing now for us as citizens,” said the Governor.

Governor Fintiri said his administration has among other things revitalized education and agric sectors for development of youths and women in Adamawa.

“As you can see, education now in Adamawa is free. We’ve been paying for WAEC and NECO exams. We give scholarship allowances to our students and renovated our schools,” he stressed.

He commended the Director General State PDP Presidential and Gobanotorial Campaign Council, Alhaji Auwal Tukur for his efforts to taking the campaign train to the success story.
