Mykhailo Mudryk is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a left-winger for the English club Chelsea and the national team of Ukraine.

Early Life

Mykhailo Mudryk was born Mykhailo Petrovych Mudryk on January 5, 2001, in Krasnohrad, Ukraine.

Career

Mykhailo Mudryk began his football career at the youth level with Metalist Kharkiv in 2010 and moved to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in 2014. He joined Shakhtar Donetsk academy in 2016.

He joined Shakhtar Donetsk senior team in 2018, and made his debut in a match against Olimpik Donetsk in the Ukrainian Cup, on October 31, 2018.

He went on loan to the Ukrainian club side Arsenal Kyiv in February 2019 which was meant for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. He later went on loan to Desna Chernihiv in the summer of 2020, where he stayed for 4 months and played 10 matches in the Ukrainian Premier League.

He returned to Shakhtar Donetsk on January 8, 2021. He scored his first goal in the Ukrainian Premier League against Mariupol, on September 18, 2021.

His Oustanding performances at the UEFA Champions League 2022-23 season have been noticed across the globe while being attracted several European clubs such as Arsenal, Sevilla, and Brentford.

Amidst competition from Arsenal who made a bid of €75 million plus €25 million, Mudryk later signed for Chelsea for a fee of €100 million, in January 2023.

Mykhailo Mudryk has represented Ukraine at the Under 16, U17, U18, and U21 levels before being called up to the senior team in April 2022.

He made his debut in the friendly match against Borussia Monchengladbach on May 11, 2022.
