Saleh Al-Shehri is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a left-winger for the Saudi club Al-Hilal and the national team of Saudi Arabia. He got more exposure for his goal against Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Early Life

Saleh Al-Shehri was born Salem bin Mohammed Shafi Al-Dawsari on August 19, 1991, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Career

Salem Al-Dawsari began his football career at the youth level with Al-Hilal and was promoted to the senior team.

He moved to the Spanish club Villareal on loan in 2018 and made his debut in a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid.

Al-Dawsari was called up to the Saudi Arabian senior team ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He was also part of the squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where he scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Egypt in their last group match. He scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory against Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
