Allegations Against Agballah, Nnaji From Mischief Makers
Those making allegations against Agballah, Nnaji are miserable mischief makers - South East APC
The South East leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as baseless the allegations against the chairman of APC in Enugu State, Chief Ugochukwu Agballah and the party’s governorship candidate, Chief Uche Nnaji.
The Zonal leadership said those behind the allegation are miserable mischief makers, who are jealous of the tremendous progress APC Enugu state has made under the new leadership of Agballah and Nnaji.
In a statement signed by Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, National Vice Chairman of APC south East, and made available to journalists in Enugu yesterday, the Zonal leadership described the allegations as “the spurious antics of desperate souls in the Enugu state APC”.
The party said, “Recently there was a demonstration by a tiny hired crowd at the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja. The demonstrators accused the Enugu state APC Chairman, Hon. Barr. Ugochukwu Agballah and the APC Gubernatorial candidate for Enugu state, Chief Uche Nnaji of having received campaign funds from our presidential candidate and from the party itself, towards the forthcoming presidential election.
“This assertion is false, spurious and preposterous. And we invite the general public and our teeming supporters in Enugu state and the South Zone as a whole to ignore the cheap antics organized by desperate political jobbers, saboteurs, enemies of our great party, who are wolves in sheep’s clothing. We know them well to be shady characters.
“They are consumed by jealousy at the tremendous success the APC has recorded in Enugu state and also at the party’s evident readiness for victory in the forthcoming Governorship and Presidential elections. We know they are moles working for the opposition PDP to try to destroy the big gains the APC has made in Enugu state.
“The South East Zonal Executive of our party ably led by me, the National Vice Chairman, South East, has thoroughly investigated the matter and found that no such money was released to the Enugu state chapter of our party, either for the presidential rally or for the presidential campaign”.
Arodiogbu therefore advised those he referred to as “miserable mischief makers” to desist forthwith from further evil schemes against the party, or face stringent disciplinary actions as duly prescribed by the Constitution of our great party.
