Her dad, a coach, started preparing his kids for basketball in third grade, as she’d always been interested in it. Jaden’s dream has always been to be the first female to play in the NBA. She is improving her skills and techniques so much every day that she will achieve her goal one day.

Jamie knew her potential to succeed in the team because she was always enthusiastic about the sport growing up. The move attracted some scepticism initially, but after she played her first match in the team, opinions changed right away regarding her abilities and inclusion in the side. She averaged 15 points per game as a fifth-grader when she joined the team, and her scoring increased dramatically over the next two years. The number of points she scored per game doubled between the sixth and seventh grades. Her average point total in eighth grade was almost 46 points.

She also achieved a national record by scoring 70 points in one game. As the youngest player to score 1000 points as a varsity prep player, Newman became the youngest player to reach 1000 points in any sport. Because most of her idols represented UConn’s women’s basketball team, she is determined to be a member of the Connecticut Huskies women’s basketball team.

She practices basketball with her brother Julian Newman, a player. On average, the duo practice over 500 shots each day and works on their shooting technique from all angles.

Her shot conversion percentage is very high compared to her peers, but she is also a very good team player. Currently, the point guard averages more than seven assists per game, five steals, and four rebounds.
