In 1982, Erv started working as a technical director on the TV series “Tattletales; subsequently, his body of work includes projects such as “The $25,000 Pyramid”, “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful”, among many others. Erv came into media spotlight when he married the famous singer and actress Chip Fields; the two tied the knot on 20 August 1994, after being in a relationship for more than five years. By the time they married, Chip already had two grown up daughters, Kim, born on 12 May 1969, and Alexis, born on 3 March 1979.
She was previously married to a non-celebrity man, whom she divorced while Kim and Alexis were still young.
