Donald Edmond Wahlberg Jr. (born August 17, 1969) is an American actor, singer, director, and producer better known as Donnie Wahlberg. He rose to prominence as a member of the boy band New Kids on the Block. He is also well-known for his roles in Saw Films, Dreamcatcher, The Sixth Sense, and Blue Bloods, a drama series. He also serves as an executive producer for the TNT reality show Boston’s Finest.

Donnie Wahlberg was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 17, 1969. His father, Donald Edmond Wahlberg Sr, who is of Irish and Swedish descent, worked as a delivery driver. At the same time, his mother, Alma Elaine, who is of Irish, English and Canadian ancestry, was a bank clerk and nurse aide before she passed on April 19, 2021.

Donnie is an eight inna family of nine children. He has older siblings such as; Arthur, Jim, Paul, Robert, Travey Michelle, Debbie and a younger brother named Mark. He also has three half-siblings from his father’s first marriage; Donna, Scott and Buddy.

Donnie started acting im 1996 with his first role in the movie, Bullet alongside Mickey Rourke and Tupac Shakur. He followed in the same year with another role in Ransom with Mel Gibson.

He came to the limelight in 1999 for his role in the film The Sixth Sense. Ever since he rose to fame, he has started in films such as Black Circle boys, Body Count, Butter, Southie, Diamond Men, Trigger Men and many others.

He became the host of an internet radio show, “DDUB’s R&B Back Rub” on Cherry Tree Radio in 2011, and as of 2021, he worked on the seqwon five of the Masked Singer.

As a singer, he has numerous albums with his boy band New Kids on the Block, which includes; New Kids on the Block (1986), Hanging’ Tough (1988), Step by Step (1990), Face The Music (1994), The Block (2008), 10 (2013) and Thankful EP (2017). He also has a solo album titled “The Right Combination”.

Donnie Wahlberg: Personal Life

Wahlberg married Kimberly Fey on August 20, 1999, and filed for divorce on August 13, 2008. They have two sons together.

However, he began dating actress and comedian Jenny McCarthy in July 2013 before they announced their engagement on The View on April 16, 2014. They eventually got married on August 31, 2014, in Illinois.
