Drama as Police Officers Mistake Popular Actress for a Prostitute Inside Supermarket (Photos)

Sophie Monk, a popular British-Australian actress has been confronted by cops inside a supermarket.

Her car was raided after they mistook her for a prostitute as she picked up her groceries.

According to Daily Mail, the actress explained how she was singled out by US police officers during a trip to the supermarket after a day of filming.

The 37-year-old busty blonde revealed she was once mistaken for a prostitute by American police when on a grocery run, covered in fake blood and oil after filming.

The British-Australian star added that during the experience, she found out she had a warrant out for her arrest, in relation to outstanding parking fines that were sent to the wrong address, that she had no idea about at the time.

Explaining what happened, Sophie said she walked to get food early in the morning after being on set of a horror film, when she was approached by officers.

'One of the guys knocks the other and goes, "I've seen her around these streets mate," Sophie explained about being mistaken for a hooker.

'And I was like, NO!,' Sophie said, revealing she was offended they thought she was a s*x worker.

'That is not a compliment, not one bit, I don't care if I was a hot A-class prostitute,' she said with a laugh.

The personality - who has been in films including Date Movie - said she was trying to convince the policemen that she was an actress.

'I was like I'm going to have drop the old, "you know me off TV card," she said.

She said the police took her to her car to check it out.

'They raided my whole car. It was a Mercedes too so it looked like I had some pimp looking after me...it looked like a bomb hit it!,' she said.

'They checked everything and found out there was a warrant out for my arrest,' she said, before saying they eventually found out who she was and visited the film set to take photos with her.

She added she was annoyed at the thought she'd get a mug shot looking the way she did, with mascara running down her face on top of the fake blood and oil.

'Usually I'm always prepared for a mug shot, you never know when you're going to get one!'
