Shock as 6-year-old Schoolgirls Allegedly Plan to Poison Their Classmates to Death

The three six-year-old school girls have been suspended for allegedly plotting to poison a classmate to death with "do not eat" silica gel.

According to Mirror Online, the girls' sick plan was foiled when one of their classmates at an Alaskan school told their father of the sinister plot last week. But despite their allegedly sinister intentions, silica gel - a drying agent used to keep packaged goods fresh - is not actually poisonous.

The outraged dad, who did not wish to be named, said: "My first reaction was definitely shock. I just couldn't believe that somebody, some children as young as they were - first grade - could come up with something like this."

An investigation has been launched by the school but no criminal charges have been brought.

The three children involved have been suspended for seven days and could face expulsion.

In an email to parents, headteacher Shanna Mall said the girls will face "significant consequences".

However, the school has come under fire after the father who uncovered the chilling plot questioned whether suspension was enough.

He said: "Is that the appropriate punishment for a school that has a several-year waiting list to get in? It's a lottery school.

"There's plenty of other kids waiting to get into this school. I don't think they deserve to be at this school."

Police praised the man's daughter for alerting him to the alleged plot.

Officer Jennifer Castro said: "The good news here is that another student learned about this plan or intention and as soon as they learned of it, they immediately notified their teacher, their parents and the principal, which is then how we were notified."

A spokesperson for the school said psychologists are helping with the investigation.

She said: "The age is one of the things that is most surprising to people who were hearing about this."
