Doug Christie loved basketball from an early age, and his career took off when he went to Pepperdine University. He was selected 17th Overall in the NBA Draft (1992).

As a former basketball player, Doug played for the following teams – Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Lakers.
