The Amwari Light Attack Aircraft is manufactured in South Africa, with the Third World market in mind. Compared to the Brazilian and USA-made Super Tucano propeller-driven ground attack aircraft recently purchased by the Nigerian air force at a cost of $83 million dollars each , the South African Amwari plane sells at just $10 million dollars per plane, excluding weapons option surcharges which MAY bring the price up to a still affordable $15 million US dollars per plane.

Using these conservative estimates, FIVE or more of the Amwari planes could be purchased for the price of ONE Super Tucano.
