“I had the privilege of being conferred with the honorary citizenship of Dallas. I also met with a select group of Texas Judges,” Obi disclosed in a tweet on Wednesday.
Obi noted that during his stay in Dallas, he had an interactive session with young professionals, where he discussed the strategies he plans to deploy in solving the myriad of challenges in Nigeria and how Nigerians in the diaspora can play an integral role in the plan.
“The diaspora community can be effectively mobilized as true assets for the rapid development of our country. The Nigerian diaspora can play a major role in helping Nigeria transform its education sector,” Obi said.
Obi added that the Nigerians in the diaspora also have a critical role in healthcare and other sectors of the country.
He urged medical practitioners abroad to start yielding some dividends back home by collaborating with the Federal and State governments in expanding healthcare delivery.
